MMOPA Reprises Popular Erik Eliel Radar Seminar

Oct 12 Event Complements MMOPA Nationwide Safety Stand Down

Back by popular demand, MMOPA is sponsoring a full-day weather radar seminar with renowned expert Erik Eliel. If you missed him at the 2019 convention, here’s your chance to learn PA46-specific radar knowledge that will make you a safer and more accomplished pilot.

When: Saturday Oct. 12, 2019

Where: Main FBO/Terminal
Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport/Simpson Field (KSPA)
Spartanburg, SC
Time: 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $350

The comprehensive seminar is ideal for pilots seeking a strong foundation of knowledge, skill, and confidence in their radar systems. Although the core of the seminar is anchored in the tactics, techniques, and limitations of airborne weather radar, this program is a comprehensive convective weather program and includes other critical topics such as human factors, risk management and properly integrating NEXRAD technology into the overall weather strategy.

Lunch is provided and sponsored by SkyTech.

KSPA features a 5,852 ft. runway (05/23) and numerous approaches. It has a large, spacious ramp and a new, city-run FBO/terminal.

For those who would like to stay the night, MMOPA Member Dean Garritson is arranging a dinner at a local restaurant. For a list of nearby hotels click HERE.
