John Walters

John Walters is a mechanical engineer who worked in the metal forging industry. He spent 27 years as VP of Scientific Forming Technologies Corporation, a simulation software company, with a wide range of management and technical responsibilities. 
 
He was involved in industry technical groups throughout his career. John was a frequent speaker at international technical conferences and developed numerous training workshops.  He was a Trustee on the Forging Industry Education Research Foundation board. John wrote over 60 technical papers and articles.
 
John has flown for 25 years, with over 3000 hours of flight time. He led the Events Committee from 2022-2024 and joined the PMOPA board in 2021. He was elected Vice President in 2022 and President in 2024. He has flown over 1,000 hours in Piper M-Class aircraft. He competes in triathlons, plays golf, and enjoys cooking, gardening and home projects. John has been married for 50 years, with 3 sons and 7 grandchildren.
